Slither.io looks simple, but reaching the top of the leaderboard requires strategy. Here's what pro players do differently.
When you're small, avoid other snakes entirely. Eat glowing pellets in open areas to grow quickly. Only start attacking when you're large enough to trap others.
Circle around a smaller snake, tightening your coil. They'll eventually hit your body. This is the most reliable killing method.
Boost (hold left click or press space) costs body length, so don't waste it. Use it only to cut in front of other snakes or escape danger.
Predict where a snake is going, boost ahead of them, and turn sideways so they crash into your body. Requires practice but gives huge kills.
The center of the map is crowded โ more kills but more risk. When you're small, stay on edges. When large, move to center to dominate.
When a snake dies, its body turns into large glowing pellets. Rush to eat them before other snakes steal your reward โ this is how you jump from medium to huge.
