How to Play Diep.io – Beginner Guide 2026

Diep.io is a tank upgrade game where you destroy shapes and other players to earn XP. Pentagons give the most XP. When you level up you get stat points to distribute across 8 categories: Bullet Speed, Bullet Penetration, Bullet Damage, Reload, Movement Speed, Max Health, Health Regen, and Body Damage.

💡 Top Tips for Beginners

✅Farm pentagons in the middle of the map — they give the most XP of any shape
✅Upgrade Reload and Bullet Damage first — early damage output wins
✅Choose your upgrade path at level 15, then evolve again at levels 30 and 45
✅Twin (double barrel) is the best beginner class — high damage per second
✅Stay out of the map center until level 30+ — high-level players farm there
