The coil kill is the most reliable elimination technique in Slither.io. When you find a smaller snake, boost in a wide circle around it. Gradually tighten the circle with each pass. The trapped snake has nowhere to go and will hit your body. This technique works at any size but is most reliable when you are 3x larger than your target.
Speed boost consumes your body length — use it strategically, never casually. The three correct uses are: cutting off an escaping smaller snake in a straight line, escaping from a larger snake that is circling you, and racing to the edge when cornered. Never boost just to move faster — you pay with your hard-earned length.
Small snakes die from being cut off. Stay near the edges of the arena where large snakes rarely go — they prefer center mass where food is densest. Move unpredictably by weaving slightly rather than traveling in perfectly straight lines. The moment you become predictable, you become a target.
Food appears in two forms: scattered dots (low value) and the mass left by eliminated snakes (very high value). Always route toward elimination debris when it appears — a snake kill creates enough food to double a small snake's size instantly. The fastest path to large size is eating other snakes, not dots.
The arena edge is your friend when small and your enemy when large. Small snakes use edges to reduce exposure to one side. Large snakes should avoid edges because they cannot fully maneuver — their length needs the full center space to execute coil kills and turns effectively.
