Double-tap split to shoot half your mass forward at high speed — this is how you eat cells larger than you. Calculate that you can eat them before they reach a safe border or friendly virus. A well-timed split doubles your reach and is the primary kill technique at all sizes.
Viruses split any cell larger than 130 mass into 16 pieces. You can use this defensively (hide behind viruses when small) and offensively (shoot viruses into large enemies using the feed mechanic — 7 pellets into a virus launches it). Mastering virus launching is the highest-level Agar.io skill.
In teams mode, feeding mass to teammates using the W key builds the team's strongest player faster than individual growth. Designate your largest player as the 'carry' and feed them relentlessly. A single giant cell is more dangerous than 4 medium cells.
When split by a large enemy, immediately move all split pieces in the same direction — this groups them for faster recombination. Move toward the edge of the map (large cells cannot follow without touching the boundary). Merge as quickly as possible by staying still once grouped.
Only attack cells where you are at least 1.25x larger — the minimum size advantage for reliable split-eating. Targeting cells of equal size results in losses. Targeting cells 2x+ smaller than you is safest. Patrol borders of the map where smaller cells accumulate.
